How to determine if the installation surface of the reducer is level
There are several methods to determine whether the installation surface of the reducer is horizontal:
Using a spirit level
Operation method: Place the level on the installation surface of the reducer, and the bubbles inside the level will move according to the inclination of the installation surface. If the bubble is within the center scale range of the level, it indicates that the installation surface is basically horizontal; If the bubble deviates from the center scale, it indicates that the installation surface is tilted.
Attention: Before use, check whether the level is accurate. The level can be placed in different directions multiple times for calibration. At the same time, measurements should be taken at multiple locations on the installation surface to comprehensively determine its levelness, as there may be local unevenness on the installation surface.
Using a laser level
Operation method: The laser level can emit a horizontal laser beam, place it near the reducer, and let the laser beam shine on the installation surface. By observing whether the gap between the laser beam and the installation surface is uniform, it can be determined whether the installation surface is horizontal. If the gaps are uniform and consistent, it indicates that the installation surface is horizontal; If the gap is wide or narrow, it indicates that the installation surface is not horizontal.
Attention: When using, ensure that the laser level is placed steadily and used in a low light environment to ensure that the laser beam is clear and visible, and to improve measurement accuracy.
Measure with a level
Operation method: Set several measuring points around the installation surface of the reducer, set up a level in a suitable position, and measure the elevation of each point through the level. If the elevation of each point is the same, it indicates that the installation surface is horizontal; If there is a difference in elevation, the installation surface is not horizontal.
Attention: The installation position of the level should be stable to avoid interference from external factors. At the same time, the selection of measurement points should be representative and able to comprehensively reflect the horizontal condition of the installation surface.
Wire pulling method
Operation method: Fix a steel wire at both ends of the installation surface, and tighten the steel wire. Then use a caliper or other measuring tool to measure the distance between the steel wire and the installation surface. Measure at different positions on the installation surface. If the distance is equal everywhere, it indicates that the installation surface is horizontal; Otherwise, the installation surface may be tilted.
Attention: The fixation of the steel wire should be firm to avoid loosening during the measurement process. When measuring, it is necessary to ensure that the caliper or other measuring tools are perpendicular to the steel wire to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
