Maintenance methods for motor reducers used in mechanical equipment

The maintenance methods for using motor reducers in mechanical equipment are as follows:

Check whether the contactor contacts, coil cores, and wiring screws are reliable, and whether the mechanical components are flexible to maintain good technical condition and ensure that the reducer does not burn during startup.

Keep the gearbox clean. When the gearbox is running, there should be no dust, water stains, or other debris at least 3 meters around the air inlet to prevent the gearbox from pulling out, short circuiting the medium, or damaging the insulation layer of the wires, which can cause inter turn short circuits, increased current, temperature rise, and gearbox burnout. Therefore, in order to ensure that the gearbox has sufficient insulation resistance and good ventilation and cooling environment, the gearbox can maintain a safe and stable working state during long-term operation.

Check the transmission and rotating components.

Current detection: When the gearbox runs beyond the rated current, the coil temperature will rise, causing insulation degradation, shortening the service life or burning out the coil. Therefore, the load should be reduced to below the rated current.

Check the temperature of the gearbox. When the gearbox is placed in high humidity air, the electrical performance will decrease due to the moisture absorption of the insulation layer when it is stopped for a long time or when the ambient temperature changes sharply. In addition, water or adhesion attached to the surface of the insulator can also reduce insulation resistance.

Check the bearings and lubricating oil. Rolling bearings used in small and medium-sized reducers are usually sealed with oil.

The above are the maintenance methods for using motor reducers in mechanical equipment, hoping to be helpful to you.
