How to properly maintain the horizontal ZLY140-14-1 hard tooth surface gear reducer

ZLY140-14-1 hard tooth surface gear reducer is a hard tooth surface cylindrical gear reducer. The following are the maintenance methods:

Regularly check the oil level: Regularly check the oil level of the gearbox to ensure that it is within the specified upper and lower limits. Low oil level can lead to insufficient lubrication of gears and bearings, accelerating wear and tear; If the oil level is too high, it may cause the oil temperature to rise and increase power loss. Generally, the oil level should be checked every 2-4 hours of operation. If the oil level is found to be too low, the same type of lubricating oil should be replenished in a timely manner.

Regularly replace lubricating oil: According to the operating conditions of the reducer and the quality requirements of the lubricating oil, regularly replace the lubricating oil. Generally, a new gearbox should undergo its first oil change after running for 200-300 hours, and then change the oil every 3000-6000 hours thereafter. When replacing the lubricating oil, it should be done after the gearbox has stopped running and the oil temperature has cooled down. First, the old oil should be drained, then clean the inside of the gearbox with kerosene or diesel, and finally add new lubricating oil.

Inspect gears and bearings: Regularly open the inspection holes of the gearbox to check the wear of the gears, such as whether there are defects such as wear, pitting, and cracks on the tooth surface. At the same time, check the operation of the bearings for any abnormal noise, vibration, and heating. If damaged gears or bearings are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent the fault from expanding.

Cleaning the gearbox housing: Regularly clean the dust, oil stains, and debris on the gearbox housing to maintain good heat dissipation of the gearbox. Dust and oil stains can affect the heat dissipation effect of the gearbox, causing an increase in oil temperature and reducing the performance and service life of the gearbox. Compressed air or a clean cloth can be used for cleaning.

Monitoring operating temperature: During the operation of the gearbox, it is necessary to closely monitor its oil temperature, bearing temperature, etc. In general, the oil temperature of the gearbox should not exceed 80 ℃, and the bearing temperature should not exceed 90 ℃. If the temperature is found to be too high, it should be stopped for inspection in a timely manner, the cause should be identified, and the fault should be eliminated. It may be caused by insufficient lubricating oil, poor heat dissipation, excessive load, and other reasons.
