Clarify the load situation:

Calculate load torque: Determine whether the load that the equipment needs to withstand during operation is a constant load or a variable load. Accurately calculate the size of the load, including torque and power requirements. For example, if it is used for a crane, the required torque of the gearbox needs to be calculated based on the lifting capacity and lifting speed; If used for conveyor belts, factors such as belt tension, material weight, and operating speed should be considered.

In practical selection, the standard transmission ratio closest to the calculated value should be chosen.

Consider the work environment:

Environmental temperature: If the working environment temperature is high, a gearbox model that can withstand high temperatures should be selected, or appropriate heat dissipation measures should be taken; If the ambient temperature is low, the low-temperature starting performance of the gearbox and the low-temperature fluidity of the lubricating oil should be considered.

Humidity and dust: In humid or dusty environments, it is necessary to choose a gearbox with good protection level to prevent moisture and dust from entering the interior of the gearbox, affecting its normal operation and service life. For example, choose a gearbox with a protection level of IP54 or higher.

Corrosive gases: If there are corrosive gases in the working environment, such as in the chemical industry, corrosion-resistant reducers should be selected, such as those made of stainless steel or specially treated with anti-corrosion measures.

Pay attention to the performance indicators of the gearbox:

Transmission efficiency: High efficiency reducers can reduce energy loss and lower operating costs. The first stage reduction efficiency of BWY5 reducer is as high as 94%, but the efficiency of different models and specifications may vary in practical applications, and products with higher efficiency should be selected.

Accuracy: For equipment that requires high-precision positioning, such as robots, CNC machine tools, etc., the angular transmission accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy, and reverse clearance of the reducer should be considered. Although BWY5 reducers are typically suitable for applications with general precision requirements, if the equipment has high precision requirements, further evaluation may be needed to determine if it meets the requirements.
