Maintenance and upkeep status

Regular inspection: If the condition of the gearbox seals can be checked regularly, minor wear or leaks can be detected and dealt with in a timely manner, which can extend the overall service life of the seals. For example, conducting an inspection every 3-6 months and taking appropriate measures such as tightening bolts and supplementing lubricating oil after discovering problems can extend the replacement cycle of seals to 3-5 years.

Proper maintenance: Following the instruction manual of the gearbox for proper maintenance, such as regularly changing lubricating oil and maintaining its cleanliness, can help reduce the wear of seals and extend their service life. If the maintenance is improper, such as the lubricating oil not being replaced for a long time or the oil quality deteriorating, it may cause problems with the seals within 1-2 years.

In practical applications, it is necessary to regularly check the wear, aging, and leakage of the sealing components based on the specific operating conditions of the R87 reducer, in order to determine a reasonable replacement time. Once obvious damage or leakage is found in the seal, it should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid lubricating oil leakage of the gearbox, which will affect its normal operation and service life.
